Bristol City stadium

Bristol City Council have approved plans for a new football stadium behind David Lloyd centre, with changes, mainly the removal of the proposed housing.

The access roads would be in North Somerset. North Somerset’s North area planning committee rejected the plans, and that decision has been referred to the next committee up. After several delays this is now due to take place on 26th May, in Weston.

There is still time to lobby councillors on the committee ahead of the crucial meeting – more information will follow here in regard to this.

For further information, see the files on this site, ‘Eco Transport Assessment’ was commissioned by the Ashton Vale Heritage Group, which stands to lose even more than Long Ashton if the stadium goes ahead. This document shows how the developers are misusing statistics to further their case.
